IAMP shortlisted at RTPI North East Awards

22 Sept 2020
Lichfields is delighted that International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) has been shortlisted at the RTPI North East Regional Awards for Planning Excellence.
IAMP, located in Sunderland and South Tyneside, is being brought forward by IAMP LLP with Henry Boot as delivery partner. It will deliver 392,000sqm (4.2 million sqft) of industrial floorspace for advanced manufacturing and automotive uses creating 7,850 jobs.
Splitting part of the site from the declared Development Consent Order boundary, enabled planning applications to be fast-tracked and three manufacturing units to be built to tight timescales, meeting an urgent requirement from Nissan for a locally based supply chain to increase production efficiency.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, one building has been rapidly adapted and fitted out as a regional Nightingale hospital.
Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony on our RTPI YouTube channel in November (date TBC).
We are very proud to see IAMP shortlisted in this year’s awards. This regionally and nationally significant project showcases Lichfields’ responsiveness, flexibility and adaptability to deliver permissions for our clients.
