Clover Long shortlisted for North West Young Town Planner of the Year

Lichfields is proud to announce that Clover Long has been shortlisted for North West Young Town Planner of the Year at the RTPI North West Awards for Planning Excellence 2026.

Since joining Lichfields in 2022, Clover has been recognised for her ability to manage complex planning projects and deliver positive outcomes across a wide variety of sectors. Her experience covers residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. In particular she has successfully helped clients secure consent for over 2,000 homes across the North West. This has included working alongside architects and other key stakeholders on estate regeneration projects where she has secured various listed building and planning consents to redevelop the Palacefields Estate in Runcorn to deliver around 400 affordable homes, new community infrastructure including a new Local Centre and a church, and the restoration of at-risk heritage assets.

 

Beyond her project work, Clover is committed to broadening access to the planning sector and supporting her colleagues’ development. She plays an active role in Lichfields’ work experience, internship and graduate programmes, mentoring early-career planners through their RTPI APC applications. She is also engaged in wider industry networks including Women in Planning and Women in Property, and helps to promote diversity and inspire future talent.
