James Harris

James is an experienced planning consultant, he specialises in complex urban development projects and advises clients on planning, design and heritage issues. He guides clients and project teams through the planning and design process by producing planning appraisals and strategy advice, and preparing planning applications and handling planning appeals.

James joined Lichfields in 2018 from Design Council Cabe, where he managed Design Advice Panels on behalf of local authorities, private clients and infrastructure providers. His professional expertise includes work in the public, private and third sectors in the UK and New Zealand, including several years’ previous experience in a planning consultancy in central London.
