Putting productivity at the heart of the economic plan

The Chancellor Philip Hammond delivers the last Spring Budget by charting a considered course and ‘preparing Britain for a global future’.

The latest figures released by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) show that the UK has continued to grow despite doubts in the wake of the EU referendum last summer. Strong economic growth in 2016 has led the OBR to revise 2017 growth predictions upwards since last autumn from 1.4% to 2%.
