All aboard for Midland Metro Extension

20 Nov 2017
The Government has today announced £250 million of funding for transport improvements in the West Midlands, the majority of which will go towards constructing the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro Extension. Lichfields helped to put forward the case to Government by preparing a detailed assessment of the project’s wider economic impacts including housing delivery, job creation and long-term fiscal benefits as part of the overall business case.
This extension will see Dudley and Sandwell linked to the region’s rail network for the first time since the 1960s, and Lichfields was delighted to be able to assist local stakeholders in putting forward a clear case and negotiating with Government.
