Measuring Landsec's economic contribution

23 Feb 2018
Lichfields is delighted to be supporting Landsec, the UK’s largest listed commercial property company, to measure its contribution to the UK economy for the first time.

The findings – launched today in a new report prepared by Lichfields – show that Landsec’s annual contribution to the UK economy totals £13.2bn, through buying, selling and managing commercial property. In doing so, it supports 153,000 jobs across its portfolio of iconic buildings and much-loved shopping centres such as Trinity Leeds and St David’s in Cardiff, and through developments such as 20 Fenchurch Street, commonly known as the Walkie Talkie building.

The final report brings together Lichfields’ market leading economics and graphic design expertise to showcase Landsec’s total economic contribution in a creative and engaging way.

The research behind this report allows us to talk about the contribution from our portfolio, on a national level but also down to an individual asset. This is a great way to communicate the scale and impact of what we do, to the customers and communities we work with every day.
