Growing the garden village: an economic vision for Oxfordshire Cotswolds

30 Apr 2019
Lichfields has advised West Oxfordshire District Council on developing an employment strategy and economic vision for the new Oxfordshire Cotswolds Garden Village, proposed for land north of the A40 near Eynsham.
Our report will be used by the Council and its partners to prepare an Area Action Plan setting out how the Garden Village development will be taken forward, what it will look like and how it will function.
The new 2,200 home Oxfordshire Cotswolds Garden Village provides an opportunity to transform the local economy and enable West Oxfordshire to share in the continued growth and success of Oxfordshire as a globally-renowned economic cluster. Our employment study considered a range of different development options including a campus-style science park to take advantage of Oxfordshire's technology expertise.
Further information about the new Garden Village can be found here.
We have been very impressed with the approach taken by Lichfields from start to finish. The team adopted a clear and logical approach to this key project and we are very pleased with the outcome in terms of the style and content of the report produced.
