Plans secured for UK’s first cancer patients' cooking school

Lichfields is proud to have assisted Life Kitchen, a cookery initiative set up to help people living with cancer and those caring for them, secure listed building consent from Sunderland City Council to change the use of grade II-listed building.
Ryan Riley founded Life Kitchen following the death of his mother Krista to small cell lung cancer. He has now launched a £50,000 fundraising drive to turn the plan into a reality.
We have had outstanding support from architects, building firms appliance companies and thanks to Lichfields for their work in securing planning permission.

This is a hugely worthwhile project; one in which we’re delighted to offer our wholehearted support to help Ryan achieve his dream.
