Triple shortlist triumph at RTPI NE Awards

25 May 2023
Lichfields is thrilled to have three projects recognised at the 2023 Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) North East Awards for Planning Excellence. The awards highlight and honour outstanding plans, individuals, and projects.
Hamminkeln Place is an exceptional redevelopment that has achieved a genuine sense of placemaking. It delivers 71 new affordable homes at a highly accessible and sustainable previously developed site in Sedgefield. The new homes demonstrate a strong but distinct character with the considered use of materials and architectural detail.
NUCASTLE is a state of the art community facility and home of the Newcastle United Foundation, which supports Newcastle’s young people and most challenged communities. NUCASTLE’s goal is to deliver over 30 different community programmes focused on improving physical health, supporting mental wellbeing, and increasing employability opportunities.
Forming Home Group’s new office Headquarters, One Strawberry Lane includes a voluntary, community and social enterprise hub in Newcastle City Centre. The 70,000 sqft development is one of the region’s first new commercial buildings specifically designed to promote hybrid working through effective hot desking capabilities and technology incorporated throughout the building which has an A grade Energy Performance Rating.
The winners will be announced at the RTPI NE Annual Dinner, which is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Newcastle on 23 June 2023.
We are elated that Lichfields has three nominations at this year’s awards. The shortlisting’s stand as a glowing tribute to our exceptional team, valued clients, and the outstanding projects we have contributed to.
