Ian Anderson

As both National Head and Head of Planning at two major international property consultancies Ian’s exposure is diverse and wide ranging, covering public and private sector bodies across the country.

Ian’s expertise is development focused, with a background in mixed use, residential, commercial, leisure and retail planning; having represented developers and other key property stakeholders/operators throughout the planning process. This includes strategic pre-application advice, extensive planning project management, high level political engagement and expert witness evidence at Public Inquiries and Examinations In Public.

Ian has been called to advise No.10 on two occasions and was a key witness at the Common’s Select Committee on the success of the NPPF. He writes and speaks frequently in the press and media on planning, including interviews with Bloomberg news and Radio 4.
