Leading Lichfields’ specialist infrastructure delivery team, Hugh has extensive experience managing and promoting complex strategic development projects, both through traditional town planning applications and via Development Consent Orders (DCOs), the Government’s consenting regime for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Hugh frequently advises developers, investors, and local planning authorities on the intricacies of development planning, often involving the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments to support schemes at highly constrained, policy protected sites.
Hugh’s projects include working on the DCOs at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal, Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station and the York Potash Project. Other strategic projects include successfully promoting proposals for Amex House; the European Headquarters for American Express at Brighton; and, Howbury Park, a rail freight project in London’s Green Belt at Erith.
