Jon joined Lichfields in 2019 to lead the Birmingham office. He has considerable experience across a range of sectors, including housing, mixed use commercial and leisure development. He advises public and private sector clients, including housebuilders, landowners, local authorities, regeneration agencies and private sector commercial developers. He is an expert in the strategic promotion of land through the development plan process and in securing planning permission for residential development.
Jon has extensive knowledge of the Midlands market aligned with a portfolio of strategic residential work which provides the office with a strong platform for growth.
His projects include the strategic promotion and preparation of a hybrid planning application for a major residential led development within Bromsgrove District to meet the cross boundary growth needs of Redditch in Worcestershire for 2,800 dwellings. He also secured planning permission for a major urban extension to Bordon in Hampshire comprising 2,500 dwellings, a new town centre and relief road.
