Gateshead Transport Strategy Review

Since Gateshead and Newcastle City councils adopted their Joint Local Plan, Lichfields has been asked to review Gateshead’s Transport Strategy to ensure it remains up-to-date and deliverable. Specifically we are advising on their integrated transport strategy and reviewing Gateshead’s capital programme for infrastructure, with the intention of prioritising future investment needs in Gateshead, delivering value for money and promoting majors schemes through regional funding mechanisms.
This is an exciting time to work with a local authority delivering work which will ensure they have a robust policy mechanism in place; allowing them to maximise the potential to bring forward much needed investment in transport infrastructure in a coordinated, justified and transparent way.
