INTEGRA 61

Project

INTEGRA 61

Bowburn
CITRUS DURHAM Ltd

INTEGRA 61 is an exciting new 83 hectare business and distribution park located on the edge of Bowburn in Durham, which is set to bring around £166 million investment into the area and support around 3,000 new jobs. A development which looked like it would never materialise after a number of office-led planning consents had been secured but never implemented.  However, crucially this application sought a mix of uses, including residential and commercial, to help cross fund the significant infrastructure works required for the business park. We were asked to deliver a range of planning services, including developing and delivering a community consultation  strategy and the coordination of the Environmental Impact Assessment, to help secure planning permission. The scheme was unanimously approved at committee in April 2016.

To achieve a unanimous planning resolution for an ambitious two million square foot industrial development in under 12 months takes some doing – and a first class planning consultant. And that’s exactly what we had in Lichfields. A pleasure to work with and never fail to impress; a great outcome, as always. Our thanks to James Taylor and his fantastic team in the Newcastle office.
