Phase 1 Beech Hill, Halifax

Phase one Beech Hill, Halifax

Together Housing Association Ltd

Beech Hill, located to the north east of Halifax town centre is a run-down residential and commercial area, dominated by three dilapidated vacant 1960’s tower blocks and a former council depot. The area is desperately in need of regeneration through the provision of new homes to meet local needs.
Lichfields obtained planning permission on behalf of Together Housing Association to redevelop the first phase of Beech Hill. This will deliver in the order of 100 new homes with the aim to integrate these into the existing built environment, contributing positively into the existing community.
The demolition of the tower blocks and depot followed by development of new homes will regenerate Beech Hill into a dynamic and inviting area that forms part of a revitalised wider community at Beech Hill.
A close working partnership between Calderdale Council, the local community, Together Housing Association and its advisors has now provided the trigger for the successful delivery of a dynamic and inviting Beech Hill regeneration scheme.
