£350 Million Development at Key South Bank, Leeds Site

03 Oct 2017
Lichfields has submitted a hybrid planning application on behalf of CEG for a significant 3.52 hectare (8.69 acre) site in South Bank, just minutes from the new southern entrance to Leeds City Station.
The application seeks detailed planning permission for two office developments with ground floor retail and leisure totalling up to 26,100 sq m and outline planning permission for mixed-use development of up to 103,900 sq m of offices, retail, leisure, hotel, health, education and community uses, parking and up to 750 new homes, along with new public spaces and landscaping.
"We are pleased to be supporting CEG's ambitious and creative approach to the regeneration of this important area of Leeds City Centre. Lichfields' innovative approach to planning projects has been put to good use as we have worked with CEG and the project team to establish a deliverable solution to the redevelopment of this under-utilised brownfield site. We have drawn on specialists across a number of our offices to co-ordinate and input into the EIA process and manage the planning submission.
We look forward to working with CEG and the City Council to progress this exciting mixed use scheme and establish a new business and residential community on the South Bank". Nick Thompson, Head of Major Projects and Design.
