Lichfields scrutinises the draft NPPF at packed breakfast seminar

16 Apr 2018
Lichfields hosted a packed breakfast seminar at the Bristol Hotel on Wednesday 11 April, presenting a detailed analysis of the changes proposed within the Government’s Draft revised National Planning Policy Framework.

With the housing crisis remaining a priority on the Government’s agenda, Simon Coop, Planning Director, led an extensive presentation examining the implications of the proposed draft NPPF for housing delivery in the South West. Cem Kosaner, Planning Director, went on to summarise some of the other proposed changes contained within the document, including proposals for changed approaches to Green Belt reviews, the presumption in favour of sustainable development and viability assessments.

Andrew Cockett, Senior Director and Head of the Bristol Office, said:
It was good to be able to talk around the emerging issues whilst the consultation on the draft NPPF is still in progress. The changes are relevant across all development sectors, and with a mix of issues arising, we hope the event provided everyone with food for thought as they consider responses and implications for their sectors.
The deadline for consultation responses is 10 May, 2018.
