Brownfield success in Cardiff

18 Feb 2019
Lichfields is delighted to have secured resolution to grant full planning permission for the development of two former school sites in Cardiff to provide a total of 141 dwellings. 43 dwellings will be provided at the former Howardian Adult Learning Centre, Penylan whilst 98 dwellings will be provided at the former Llanrumney High School site in Llanrumney. The schemes will provide a total of 37 affordable homes to be managed or sold by Cardiff Living.

Working for Cardiff Living (a partnership between Wates Residential and Cardiff Council) Lichfields coordinated the planning applications from Pre Application Consultation (PAC) stage through to the review of draft conditions. Both application were dealt with efficiently and resolution to grant was provided within 13 and 16 weeks respectively.
We are pleased to have supported Cardiff Living on these regeneration projects. The development of vacant brownfield sites will make a valuable contribution to the supply of market and affordable housing in the city.
