New Senior Director at Lichfields in Newcastle

13 Jan 2020
Lichfields has promoted Newcastle-based Director Anthony Greally to Senior Director.
Anthony, who has been with Lichfields for 20 years, is a planning adviser to the commercial and industrial sectors.
He acts for owners of some of the North East’s main employment locations including Team Valley Trading Estate and intu Metrocentre, and is currently working with the South Tees Development Corporation on the redevelopment of the former Redcar steelworks site.
Manchester-born, Anthony moved to the North East in 1994 to study at Newcastle University and joined Lichfields after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Town and Country Planning. He is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my career with Lichfields to date, in what is one of the country’s largest planning offices.

The work is varied and interesting and we have contributed to many of the region’s most significant, ground-breaking developments over the years.

Lichfields is a firm which never rests on its laurels as we constantly seek to boost our client and project portfolio, and I look forward to contributing further to this work in my new role.

Whilst retail and leisure development continues to be a mainstay of his work, Anthony has also diversified his expertise into the industrial and infrastructure sectors.
He has devised a bespoke methodology for assessing large scale solar energy schemes and has worked with a number of international industries looking to expand or relocate in the region, including AkzoNobel, Doosan Babcock and Fujifilm Diosynth.
Anthony is a highly-valued, and long-standing member of the Newcastle team and has played a key role in supporting the growth of the office and the region’s economy. We are delighted to recognise his work with this promotion to Senior Director.
