Queen’s Yard wins New London Architecture Award

24 Nov 2020
Lichfields is delighted that Queen’s Yard, the flagship mixed-use redevelopment of Hackney Wick, has picked up the New London Architecture Award for Best Mixing Project 2020. This unique project delivers the LLDC’s vision for the Hackney Wick Central Masterplan, sets a new precedent for high quality heritage sensitive design and will reinforce Queen’s Yard as the vibrant beating heart of the East London neighbourhood.
Lichfields helped secure a resolution to grant planning permission from LLDC’s Planning Advisory Committee in June 2020 and aided the smooth delivery of a positive Stage II decision from the Mayor of London earlier this month.

The award is welcome recognition of the team’s hard work on this important project. We have worked closely with Shaw Corporation and both StockWool and Jestico + Whiles Architects and we are delighted with both the planning outcome and this recent award.
