Creating a Housing Strategy for the Thames Valley

22 Oct 2020
On Wednesday 21 October Senior Director and Head of Thames Valley Office Daniel Lampard presented the conclusions of Lichfields’ research on the Thames Valley housing market that underpinned a new Thames Valley Forum report 'Creating a Housing Vision for the Thames Valley'. It highlights ideas and suggestions to seek to ensure that 'quality homes for all' are delivered across the sub-region.
The event kicked-off with an introduction from Thames Valley Forum Director Ian Binns and keynote speaker Emran Mian, Director General, Decentralisation and Growth at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
The webinar also included a panel discussion, chaired by Rob Allaway, Managing Director at DevComms, which discussed the major issues raised in the report and how we can work together to achieve the desired outcomes. Panellists included:
  • Andrew Hunter, Director, Place, Planning & Regeneration at Bracknell Forest Council

  • Laura Johnson, Executive Director, Assets and Growth at Silva Homes

  • Richard Sterling, National Land & Development Manager at Willmott Dixon

Lichfields is delighted to have worked with Thames Valley Forum as the research partner for this report and to contribute to the webinar. The panel discussion of the findings was extremely useful to highlight how industry experts intend to utilise the suggestions outlined.  We look forward to the next steps.
