Myles Wild-Smith shortlisted for RTPI West Midlands’ Young Planner of the Year

07 Oct 2021
Lichfields is delighted that Myles Wild-Smith has been shortlisted for Young Planner of the Year at the RTPI West Midlands Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards. The award seeks to recognise the brightest RTPI members in the early stages of their careers (with less than 10 years’ experience).
Myles joined Lichfields’ London office in 2017 before moving to, and helping establish, the Birmingham office in 2019. He has quickly built a strong portfolio of project experience applying his technical expertise to housing, commercial and public sector schemes. These include leading on the preparation and submission of a planning application for a new c.5,000 square metre Class E high-quality, sustainable, and landscape-led global headquarters for ZX Lidars on a greenfield site on the edge of the Malvern Hills AONB. Myles also played a crucial role in the preparation and submission of an appeal for 39 dwellings on the edge of Eccleshall, successfully securing planning permission.
Winners and commendations will be announced at an awards ceremony in November, details will be announced shortly.
Myles has been a key member of the team and played an important role in establishing and growing our new Birmingham office. He has brought an outstanding skillset and always delivers upon clients’ expectations to achieve their development objectives.
