Lichfields expands Thames Valley office with senior appointment

21 Sep 2021
Following a buoyant 18 months and some significant project wins, Lichfields’ Thames Valley office has made a new senior appointment.
Nick Kirby has joined as a Planning Director having previously worked as planning director at Pegasus Group in Bracknell and as a planner at Bracknell Forest Council prior to that.
Nick brings 13 years’ residential, commercial and leisure planning experience to the role and will be integral to the team’s plans to further grow their client base.
Daniel Lampard set-up the Thames Valley office for national planning and development consultancy, Lichfields, in 2015 after 20 years working in their London office.
The team, based in Reading, has since won contracts for a number of iconic developments, including Berkeley Homes’ redevelopment of the Horlicks factory in Slough, Raymond Blanc’s Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saison hotel & restaurant in Oxfordshire and JP Morgan’s Foundation Park scheme in Maidenhead.
The team’s workload has increased recently in part through representing  clients who are responding to consultations on both the Oxford to Cambridge Arc and the Oxfordshire Plan 2050 consultation, with the latter designed to shape the future development of the County.
I had seen Daniel Lampard speak at a number of industry events and was impressed by his knowledge, as well as the excellent reputation of Lichfields as a market leader, so to be joining him and his team is an honour.

I’m excited to continue to work with existing clients and build relationships with future clients to deliver high quality developments.

Nick Kirby, Planning Director

Nick is a significant player in the development sector in the Thames Valley with a strong track record and we think he’s a really good fit for us and our clients. We’re excited to have him onboard.

Daniel Lampard, Senior Director & Head of Thames Valley office

This appointment further increases the number of staff in the Thames Valley office , following the recent return of Nicola Jones from a client-side role. She is leading the office’s increased workload across the renewable energy sector.
