Lichfields commended at RTPI Awards for Research Excellence
08 Sept 2021Lichfields is delighted to have been commended at the 2021 RTPI Awards for Research Excellence.
This year’s entry was Effective or Defective: The Housing Delivery Test. The cross-office insight, led by Manchester-based Planning Director Colin Robinson, investigates how effective the Housing Delivery Test actually is as a mechanism to tackle housing under-delivery in practical terms. It includes a review of appeal decisions to understand how much weight inspectors are attaching to the HDT in the planning balance and how it can be improved.
The ceremony was held online as part of the Planning Research Conference and hosted by Newcastle University.
We are very proud to see this insight commended at this year’s awards. It’s a culmination of work from experts across multiple offices and this recognition showcases Lichfields’ reputation for delivering innovative research for the development industry.
