Lichfields scoops a RESI Award

11 May 2023
Lichfields is delighted to be named the Consultancy Practice of the Year at the 2023 RESI Awards. Organised by Property Week the awards, which took place at Grosvenor House, celebrated excellence and successes in the residential property sector.
The submission showcased how Lichfields’ pre-eminent approach to innovation and research has helped clients respond to a wide range of challenges; this included a toolkit for overcoming restrictions on nutrient neutrality that are holding up delivery of over 100,000 homes, as well as defining the industry’s response to Government policy proposal to dilute housing targets.
Project highlights included our work for St James (part of Berkeley) bringing forward development of a 4,600 home new neighbourhood at Milton Keynes East and delivering major estate regeneration across London, including in Kensington and Chelsea, Brent and Tower Hamlets. Also showcased was our role supporting major transactions, notably the £250m acquisition of Gladman Developments by Barratt Developments PLC, in which a team drawn from Lichfields’ nine offices was mobilised quickly to support due diligence across a portfolio of 400 sites.
As a sustainable, staff-owned business, Lichfields boosted its financial performance by 17% in 2022 and accompanied this with step changes in its commitment towards achieving Net Zero Carbon, diversity and inclusion, and ESG.
It’s an honour to be recognised at the prestigious RESI Awards. It’s a testament to the fantastic year Lichfields has had supporting residential development and investments across the country.

Our top 25 development projects last year yielded planning permissions for over 11,000 new homes, alongside which we have helped our clients tackle important commercial and policy challenges facing the industry.
