Helen’s strengths lie in her wide range of planning experience for the private, public and third sector clients. She is adept at successfully co-ordinating major planning applications, securing allocations and influencing policies through the development plan process across a variety of projects from mixed-use brownfield regeneration to greenfield sites in sensitive locations. The majority of Helen’s current project work is within the tourism and leisure sector, working for some of the UK’s largest and most well-known holiday brands and independent operators. Helen also leads and co-ordinates Lichfields’ Health Impact Assessment service.
Helen has extensive skills in consultation and engagement for planning applications and as part of Lichfields’ Policy and Law team she provides guidance to clients and colleagues on the interpretation of existing and emerging law and policy for Wales and England. Helen prepares and regularly presents law and policy CPD updates for clients and co-consultants. Helen joined Lichfields in 2007.
