Redrow Homes has sought Lichfields’ advice with several design matters, including: the preparation of a design guide for a site at Witham, Essex; the masterplanning of Napier Park, Luton; and the masterplanning and design coding for development at Temple Waterfront, Strood. Redrow asked for our input to help deliver the masterplan and first phase of development for Ebbsfleet Green, part of Ebbsfleet Garden City. Redrow Homes’ contribution to Ebbsfleet Garden City comprises 950 new homes.
Working with Redrow’s architects, the scheme combines traditional looking ‘Arts and Crafts’ inspired houses with new contemporary designs, a site for a primary school, a park including sports pitches and tennis courts, allotments, local shop, community hall, and a hotel/pub and restaurant. Ebbsfleet Green combines town and country with great connections, including the high-speed connections to London, and Europe.
The Ebbsfleet Development Corporation approved the masterplan and strategy and the first phase of development has achieved planning permission.
We were very impressed with the professional service of Lichfields and the quality of their input into the masterplan strategy for Ebbsfleet Green. They were instrumental in achieving the support of the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and the Council, which led to the successful grant of consent for the masterplan and initiated the delivery of the first phases of development.
