As the project was for a long-standing client, we knew the digital consultation needed to be particularly eye-catching, high quality and inviting. Lichfields coordinated the statutory pre-application consultation for the refurbishment and extension of the iconic Victorian Brewhouse and landmark chimney, part of the Rightacres wider Central Way development in Cardiff.
The consultation process included advertising the scheme, liaison with stakeholders and preparation of the Pre-Application Report (PAC). At the heart of the campaign was a bi-lingual website that hosted interactive documents and techniques to make it easy to participate by minimising planning language and creating a highly visual and interactive user experience. Working with RIO Architects, the successful consultation strategy contributed to the granting of planning permission in May 2020.
