Berwick Community Hospital

During such a challenging year for our National Health Service, Lichfields was delighted to work with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to obtain planning permission for the new Berwick Community Hospital in Northumberland in December 2020. Located in the heart of Berwick’s historic conservation area, the new state-of-the-art hospital will re-provide all existing hospital services, as well as an accredited endoscopy suite and the Well Close Medical Group GP practice.
Lichfields played a central role in the project, preparing the Environmental Impact Assessment which accompanied the application, and working closely with Northumberland County Council to deliver the permission. We are continuing to work closely with the Trust to support delivery of the project.
