Harton Quay Office

South Tyneside Council

Harton Quay is a state of the art Grade A office building located on a brownfield site in the heart of South Shields, South Tyneside, set to bring a capital investment of approximately £30.5 million investment into the area and support approx. 570 new jobs both on site and in the wider area.
This development, which has been delivered in partnership with the Local Authority, will benefit from 360 degree panoramic views with the southern part of the site landscaped, providing strong connectivity between the Customs House, Harton Quays Park to the west of the site, and onwards to South Shields Town Centre. This will aid in transforming the brownfield land on disused docks into a vibrant living, working and cultural quarter.
We were asked to deliver a range of planning services, including heritage analysis of the site and surrounding area and the coordination of the planning application to secure the consent. The scheme was unanimously approved at committee in April 2021.

The proposal provides the next significant step in the regeneration of South Shields, revitalising the quay area as an exciting place to live, work and play.
