London Eye and County Hall Attractions

Merlin Attractions Operations Ltd

The London Eye is a well-established part of London’s skyline, thanks to Lichfields’ work to obtain planning permission and listed building consent for the permanent retention of The London Eye on the South Bank of the River Thames.  Our role involved the co-ordination of an Environmental Statement which examined the visual and heritage impacts of the attraction and identified the positive socio-economic and community impacts.
We continue to work with Merlin Entertainments Group to enhance the offer of this major London attraction and have also secured consents for other major tourist attractions within the adjacent Grade II* listed County Hall (SEALIFE London Aquarium, The London Dungeon and Shrek’s Adventure! London).

It’s difficult to imagine London’s skyline without the London Eye. Our work with Merlin has helped to reinforce this part of London’s South Bank as a major tourist hub whilst being sensitive to the nearby World Heritage Site at the Palace of Westminster.
