PD Ports
Since 2005 Lichfields has helped PD Ports navigate the complexities of the planning process to secure the ongoing expansion of Teesport, the second largest port in the UK and a key component of the North East’s transport and economic infrastructure. Our Environmental and Planning Statements clearly demonstrated that the expansion of the port would bring substantial economic benefits and provide a significant opportunity to shift freight transit from road to rail, without significant environmental impacts. Consequently the scheme was the first major port proposal in the UK not to require a Public Inquiry.
We’re delighted to have been able to work alongside PD Ports for the last decade, securing the expansion of the Port to maximise the future economic growth of the area.
