The Cornhill Quarter

Lincoln
Lincolnshire Co-operative Limited

Lichfields helped Lincolnshire Co-operative Limited secure planning permission and listed building consent for The Cornhill Quarter regeneration – a significant refurbishment and new build development at the heart of Lincoln City Centre. When it’s finished, it will offer 49,000 square feet of unique leisure, retail and restaurant spaces, creating a vibrant hub of activity in and around the Grade II listed former Corn Exchange – revitalising this historic focal point of the City.
We prepared the applications for the project – we advised on the strategy and design, co-ordinated the necessary assessments and technical inputs, including our Planning Statement and Heritage Impact Assessment. We also consulted and engaged in detailed discussions with the City of Lincoln Council and Historic England to agree the final scheme – for which we ran a public consultation.
We’re delighted with the result for our client, and the much more attractive offer for the people of Lincoln.

…The Cornhill Quarter and the transport hub are an absolutely vital part of making sure that our city centre powers forward and doesn’t fall behind.
