Ty Anwen – Independent Healthcare Facility

When Grwp Gwalia asked Lichfields to secure permission for an independent healthcare facility for patients with enduring mental health needs, we knew that engagement with the local community would be a key element of a successful strategy. Working closely with the project team we explained the important role the facility would provide in meeting locally generated health needs and the way in which it would be safely operated. This approach included the use of testimonials from patients of similar facilities elsewhere which was invaluable in securing the support of planning committee members. The planning permission was delivered within tight timescales to assist in meeting health authority funding deadlines.
