Worthing Investment Prospectus
Worthing Borough Council
Worthing Borough Council’s corporate strategy “Catching a Wave” set out a bold new vision for how the Borough, working jointly with its neighbouring Council in Adur, could share in the future growth potential across Coastal West Sussex, generate wealth, enterprise, and help more deprived areas lift themselves out of dependence.
Lichfields had been helping councils across West Sussex on economic growth plans for many years, so we were delighted to be asked to prepare an Investment Prospectus focused on Worthing, designed to outline its future growth potential. Leading a multi-disciplinary team, we analysed the development opportunities presented across a number of major sites to establish a vision and masterplan framework to guide future investment. We identified the scale of future economic and other benefits that could be achieved, and set out a delivery strategy. The Prospectus document helps guide the Council’s actions but also articulates a clear vision for the town to the wider world and helps attract development interest.
