The Welsh Planning Directorate has begun work on the preparation of its first National Development Framework, by seeking evidence and project details to inform its development.
In parallel, a National Assembly Committee has published a report that makes recommendations for the development of the National Infrastructure Commission for Wales. Specifically, the Committee recommends that the remit of the Commission should be extended to include the supply of land for strategically significant housing developments and related supporting infrastructure, alongside economic and environmental infrastructure.
