From Bauhaus to Brutalism and Beyond

24 Sept 2019

Lichfields is delighted to be supporting the Institute of Historic Building Conservation’s (IHBC) London Branch day conference, "From Bauhaus to Brutalism and Beyond: Conserving Post-War Buildings and Places".

The event will examine the significance of post-War buildings and places as well as how to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose in terms of their use, condition and thermal efficiency. This event takes place in Sir Denys Lasdun’s Grade I-listed Royal College of Physicians, London, on Wednesday 2 October.

Lichfields Heritage Director, Nick Bridgland, will be speaking on ‘Post-War buildings: What’s the problem?’ from 11.10-11.40am.

In addition, Senior Heritage Consultant Amy Davidson and Heritage Consultant Madeleine Rigby will be attending the event and at our exhibition stand. They will be happy to discuss how Lichfields’ heritage services can help manage change in the historic environment, secure approvals for new works and devise management strategies to protect historic buildings in the long-term.
