Trio of Shortlistings for Lichfields

Lichfields is delighted to have been named in three categories at the 2023 Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) North West Awards for Planning Excellence. They showcase and celebrate the best plans, people and projects.

Dominic Holding has been shortlisted for the North West Young Planner of the Year. He is an enthusiastic individual who has gained a thorough understanding of the planning system from working on an impressive range of challenging projects. He uses his specialist expertise in heritage-led planning to bring forward challenging developments that protect and secure the future of heritage assets. Dominic is also a compassionate individual who generously gives his time to support the development and wellbeing of other young professionals, as well as supporting the wider planning profession.

In addition, two projects have been nominated. The first of which, in the ‘Excellence in Planning for Communities (large scheme of 50 of more)’ category, is Woodford Garden Village. On behalf of Redrow Homes and Harrow Estates, Lichfields has supported the delivery of this vibrant, diverse community providing a range of opportunities including employment and community facilities, which sit alongside a mix of housing types and tenures.

The second project, M6Major.com, has been listed in the ‘Excellence in Planning for a Successful Economy’ category. The project delivers 1.4 million sq. ft. of industrial and logistics floorspace with associated office space and a new woodland park amenity area. Lichfields successfully demonstrated Very Special Circumstances to secure Green Belt release, and secured planning permission and reserved matters approval for a high-quality, sustainable employment development.
