Holiday Parks continue to be an important part of the great British holiday for many people and for over 20 years Lichfields has advised Bourne Leisure in relation to its estate, particularly the Haven Holiday Parks. To ensure positive planning policy contexts for the Parks, Warner Hotels and Butlins, which are often located in sensitive sites on the coast with associated flooding, ecological and landscape designations, Lichfields monitors the Development Plan for each local authority and has successfully secured amendments to policies that enable improvements and expansion to the Parks. Recent projects have included securing planning permission for the expansion of Haven’s Thorpe Park and Craig Tara Parks. Our management of the Haven estate is ongoing as we prepare masterplans for the longer term expansion and improvement of a number of major Parks across the country, undertaking consultation and economic assessments in-house to support the projects and planning applications.
