We are proud of the collaborative approach to this exciting project which has led to planning permission being secured for new homes, a large foodstore, hotel and supporting facilities, in this prominent urban location. Advising on a range of planning disciplines, the robust retail assessment was a key component to delivering a large retail store on the site close to a local centre.
We set out and implemented a comprehensive planning strategy that ensured both planning officers and members were clear on the regeneration benefits of the scheme to the local area ahead of the arrival of Crossrail. Officers’ positive recommendation and a unanimous committee approval followed and the implemented scheme is an early landmark in the regeneration of Abbey Wood.
We also led on CIL, ensuring a phased permission to manage CIL payments and facilitate an early start on site.
