Gateshead Integrated ELR, SHLAA & OCS

Lichfields was commissioned by Gateshead Council to undertake an integrated Employment Land Review, Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment and Office Capacity Study.  We used Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to assess potential development sites. This enabled the identification of a responsive portfolio of sites for new employment development and a range of sustainable and deliverable housing sites. The study demonstrates how all tiers of the spatial planning process can inform and influence sustainable development at a local level.
