High Gosforth Park

For this unusual and potentially sensitive project, our challenge was to demonstrate very special circumstances for developing new homes not only in the Green Belt, but within the confines of two locally listed walled gardens.

With a strong commitment to heritage and ecology, we successfully secured permission for 14 new family homes, alongside a guaranteed plan of action to restore and enhance the natural assets of High Gosforth Park – originally laid out in the 18th century. Our designs include careful restoration of the walled gardens, preservation of a Grade II listed ice-house and roll-out of a new Estate Woodland and Biodiversity Management Plan.
