Our first involvement at Middlebrook was back in 2005 when we acted for M&S, securing planning permission for its occupation of a vacant store at the park. This was an important moment in the history of Middlebrook as the growth in internet shopping and changes in people’s shopping habits were impacting hard upon the non-food retail sector. Lichfields has worked closely with its owner, Orbit Investments (Northern) Ltd, part of The Emerson Group, to maintain and enhance the shopping offer at Middlebrook, the UK’s largest retail and leisure park.
We see Lichfields as one of the UK’s premier planning consultancies in the retail and leisure sector and they have helped us at a number of our sites in the north west, including Middlebrook, Aintree Racecourse Retail Park, Linkway West St Helens and Handforth Dean in Cheshire.
