The Grove Estate, a grade ll* mansion in London’s Green Belt, has a rich history. Since its opening in 2003, The Grove has experienced significant success and is now a world leading five star hotel and resort.
Working with Three Rivers District Council, Lichfields was instrumental in formulating The Grove and Langleybury Development Brief, promoting a vision for future development across the two neighbouring Estates. Through representations and participation at the Local Plan Examination, Lichfields secured a favourable policy framework which included a mixed-use development allocation at Langleybury and a nil Community Infrastructure Levy rate for hotels.
Lichfields has recently secured planning permissions and listed building consents for operational enhancements and building extensions to augment the hotel’s offer, including an elegant modern extension to The Cedar Suite and extensions to the spa, bar and restaurant.
Lichfields continues to work with Ralph Trustees Limited on this and other hotel projects.
Lichfields has worked with RTL for over 10 years to diversify and enhance the hotel’s offer. Creative in its approach, Lichfields has secured significant new development in the Green Belt to help meet both our operational requirements and evolving vision for The Grove.
