Lichfields deliver EIA session at Homes England’s Summer learning programme

23 Aug 2023
Lichfields’ Environmental Assessment team delivered an insight session at Homes England’s Summer learning programme to over 575 online delegates.
The session, aimed at local government and housing association professionals involved in development, helped delegates understand the basics of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and the way ahead from a public sector point of view.
Topics included, what public sector partners need to know about EIA and the four key EIA workstreams, expert thinking and case law on aspects of EIA, and a review of DLUHC’s consultation on proposals to replace the current EIA system in England.
We felt honoured to contribute to this year’s Homes England Summer learning programme. The session drew on Lichfields' experience of delivering EIA services for our public sector clients, providing delegates with some insightful, innovative, industry-leading thinking into the current system and proposed changes.

Nicki Mableson, Planning and EIA Director

If you were unable to make the session or would like further information on how Lichfields can help you with delivering EIA workstreams, we would be happy to discuss or provide a CPD session tailored to your team or organisation.
